Nebraska man photo from Illustrated London News, 1922

This is a reproduction of The Illustrated London News double-page spread on June 24, 1922 about the alleged “missing link” called Nebraska man — Hesperopithecus.

Nebraska man was thought to be a missing link between humans and ape-like creatures — but the idea was based on a single tooth that was later found to be the tooth from a pig.
